About Our Naan Bread

Naan is the quintessential Indian flatbread, and at Royal Punjabi Restaurant & Caterers, we bake ours fresh to order in our traditional clay tandoor. Our naan dough is made with refined flour, yogurt, milk, and a touch of sugar, then left to rise until it's perfectly soft and elastic. Each naan is hand-stretched and slapped onto the hot tandoor walls where it bakes quickly, developing those characteristic charred spots.

The high heat of the tandoor creates naan that's crispy on the outside yet incredibly soft and pillowy on the inside. We brush each naan with butter before serving, making it the perfect vehicle for scooping up curries or enjoying on its own. Choose from plain naan, garlic naan, butter naan, or other specialty varieties.
